“Kaiwa modo”

This is the wake word you need to say in order to enable NTT DOCOMO’s Simple Mic device.

The Simple Mic is a Bluetooth speaker which connects via docomo Smartphone or docomo Tablet device to DOCOMO’s voice agent service utilizing its cloud speech recognition technology. It enables far-field hands-free operation with Japanese voice commands to, for example, make calls, ask for information or enjoy high-fidelity experience when listening to music.

NTT DOCOMO, Japan’s leading mobile operator, selected Creoir to optimize audio and acoustics performance of their first voice-enabled device. The work was executed by Creoir engineering team utilizing the in-house far-field laboratory and tools provided by Synaptics and Sensory.

And if you wonder what does “Kaiwa Modo” mean... It is Japanese and translates to “Speaker Mode” in English...
